How To Edit Your Images with ChatGPT

Remember when you had to go to an external editor to improve ChatGPT images? That’s no longer the case!

You can now edit your images directly. Here’s how.👇

Step 1: Generate an image. Let’s take a European man standing on a city street.

Step 2: Click on the generated image, then click “Select” (yellow circle below) to enter editing mode.

Step 3: Use the brush to select an area you want to edit. We will change the shoes.

Step 4: Describe your editing wish. We’ll make the shoes black.

And that’s it! You can now refine your DALL-E images within ChatGPT using this new “inpainting“ feature.*

Here are a few other use cases you can try out:

• Change character appearance

• Change the background

• Add a new object

• Erase an object

Each edit costs you a message, so choose wisely. Generating a new image instead of editing might sometimes be a better option.
